Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actress who was born on January 31, 1974. She's best known as Bo in the Showcase Television series Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. She is the daughter of Peter an academic, as well as Ilkay Silk, an acclaimed actor, director, producer, playwright and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers watching her mother at work and attending the rehearsals for her plays. Silk made several commercials while she was still in the midst of her childhood. Silk was a graduate of St. Thomas University with the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk relocated to Toronto to pursue her acting profession in November 1999. She then, over the decade that followed, she relocated into Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007 after they met at an Actors' Workshop located in Los Angeles. The couple got engaged in 2009 and were married in a civil ceremony that was held in December. They renewed their vows April 10, 2011 in Fredericton following the time that Silk converted to Judaism. Silk gave birth to a son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second child was born May 13, 2016. Silk's work on television includes her role in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The Canadian show Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character of a succubus. Silk told fans of the show the joyous information that she was pregnant during the filming of Season 3. The show was a pre-show exclusive to promote Season Three. This was broadcasted by Showcase during the special Season Three show held January 6, 2013, prior to the series' premiere. Silk was involved in the production of Lost Girl since the third season finale episode was first conceived on January 6 2013 on Twitter, announced her intention to return June 4th, 2013 as Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production on fourth season. CNN named Bo's portrayal with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most popular TV couples ever. E! voted it the top couple on TV for the year 2013. Entertainment Television.
